Relax During Your Dental Procedures with Sedation Dentistry Services at Insight Dentistry

At our practice, it is important to us that every patient feels as comfortable as possible. We offer a warm environment with a friendly staff and many great comfort services. We understand that for some patients a dental appointment can feel stressful. Dental anxiety affects many patients, and can keep them from getting the dental care that they desperately need. At our practice, to accommodate patients who feel anxious or stressed about certain dental procedures, we offer sedation dentistry options.

What is Sedation Dentistry?

Sedation dentistry services allow anxious patients to feel relaxed and calm during their procedures. Our sedation dentistry services are available before a patient’s regular appointment. Sedation will be administered using a special breathable gas, or a tablet. Patients who undergo sedation dentistry are awake enough to answer questions, but feel completely calm and relaxed during their procedure. Sedation dentistry relieves stress, makes teeth less sensitive, and helps patients feel comfortable. With sedation dentistry, even patients who have suffered from severe anxiety in the past can enjoy their dental visit.

At our practice, you can choose between oral conscious sedation and nitrous oxide sedation for your sedation dentistry needs.

Oral Conscious Sedation | Oral conscious sedation is a type of sedation dentistry that is administered using a small tablet, or pill. Patients love oral conscious sedation because it is very easy to administer and puts them in a deep state of relaxation and comfort. Oral conscious sedation patients will need to arrange for a ride to and from the dentist office.

Nitrous Oxide | Nitrous oxide has been used in dental procedures for decades. Breathing nitrous oxide before your procedure will allow you to feel comfortable and relaxed. Because nitrous oxide wears off much more quickly than oral conscious sedation, you should be safe to drive yourself to and from the dentist office.
